Autism Support Group

– Natchaug Hospital will offer a free support group for families raising children with high-functioning Pervasive Developmental Disorders (PDD) at the Main Hospital at 189 Storrs Road in Mansfield, Conn. The group, which meets monthly from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. starting October 17th, will provide support and education for parents and caretakers, siblings, and children with PDD.

The hour-long meetings will split into separate parent, sibling and client support groups with Natchaug therapists facilitating discussion and education. The group aims to connect parents with similar concerns, help families understand the needs of children with PDD, develop parenting strategies, support family members including siblings, and support children identified as PDD.

For more information on registration, visit Natchaug.org/Events or contact Carleigh Hannah at 860-886-4850 ext. 324 or CHannah@Natchaug.org.
