Goodwin Student Named 2012 CHET 'Dream Big!' Winner

third grader Sarah Cao was recently recognized as a 2012 Connecticut Higher Education Trust Dream Big! Competition winner.

The contest was aimed at challenging young, aspiring students to imagine what they could accomplish with a college education.

Cao's creative drawing entry illustrates a teacher teaching arithmetic to a class of students. [Entry is attached.]

She was recognized at an official awards ceremony held on May 10 at Rentschler Field in East Hartford. There, Cao received a $300 contribution to a CHET College Savings account.

The state received more than 5,000 entries from children grades K-5 throughout the contest, which was held January 30 to March 30.
