In an effort to promote healthy eating, students, staff and faculty at the were offered a vast selection of fruits and vegetables Tuesday, and challenged to build a "Great Plate" - half a dish filled with fruits and vegetables.
With a nod to the , the middle school, under the guidance of Janice Mills, the school's food service coordinator, joined the campaign to promote healthy lifestyles in the community.
"Great Plate Tuesday was a great success at Mansfield Middle School today," said Karen Molloy, RN, MSN at the middle school, in an e-mail to Patch.
"The Cafeteria staff put out a beautiful selection of fruits and vegetables," Molloy added.
