Mansfield Public Schools Extend School Climate Survey Deadline

Fred Baruzzi, Superintendent of Mansfield Public Schools, says the district "strives to promote and maintain a safe and healthy school climate for all students and staff."

Mansfield Public Schools have extended their school climate survey deadline to accomodate parents and staff.

"Due to the fact that some students will be completing the school climate survey this week, we had extended the parent and staff deadline to Friday, Oct. 26th," Superintendent of Schools Fred Baruzzi said in an e-mail.

Earlier this month, the schools, in conjunction with the Connecticut State Department of Education, began surveying students, their parents, guardians and school staff to receive input in maintaining a healthy learning environment.

Topics include physical safety, student comfort and fairness.

The surveys are anonymous and can be taken online by accessing the links below:

The district will use the information collected to improve upon School Bullying Policies, faculty training and Safe School Climate Plan, and to implement new actions.

Parents who are unable to access the online survey are encouraged to pick up a hard copy at their child's school office and drop it off upon completion by Friday.
