Mansfield Resident Graduates from Pomfret School

Pomfret School is an independent college preparatory boarding and day school for 350 students in grades 9 through 12 from 26 states and 13 foreign countries.

On Sunday, May 27, 2012, Pomfret School celebrated its 118th commencement. Student elected speaker Dong Ku "David" Im addressed his classmates before Ian Murray, CEO of Vineyard Vines, gave the commencement address.

Aubrey Smith of Mansfield Center, is the son of Ms. Angela Coye-Smith and Mr. Aubrey Smith. During the senior awards dinner the evening prior to commencement, Aubrey was presented with the Faculty Award, which is given to a small number of seniors who, in the opinion of the faculty, deserve special recognition. During his senior year, Aubrey served as President of the School Council. He will attend Northeastern University in the fall.
