Eastern theatre students and faculty come together at the end of each academic year, along with other CSU theatre students and faculty, to participate in an intensive learning environment in New York City. Shows are presented in an off-Broadway theatre venue and students participate in workshops and panel discussions led by professional theatre artists, as well as talk-backs with actors, directors, casting directors and stage managers. They also tour Broadway theatres, theatrical design houses, and attend Broadway and off-Broadway shows.

The students were directed by Nora Cole, a veteran performing artist with Broadway, off-Broadway, and national and international credits. The students were accompanied by Professor and Director of Theatre Ellen Faith Brodie, Professor and Technical Director F. Chase Rozelle III, Performing Arts Department co-chair and Professor of Theatre History David Pelligrini, as well as Assistant Professor of Set Design Kristen Morgan.
