Mansfield Student Joins FEMALES Club at ECSU

The program has a direct impact on the daily life of all students on Eastern's campus.

Sandra Stevens, of Mansfield Center, is a member of the FEMALES club at Eastern Connecticut State University. Stevens is majoring in General Studies.

The mission of FEMALES is to promote unity, leadership and sisterhood among women attending Eastern Connecticut State University by means of sponsoring and attending workshops, lectures, seminars, local and national conventions. FEMALES hopes to build the character of women, improve their self-esteem, and provide them with the necessary resources to empower themselves and achieve success in their future endeavors. The members of FEMALES were active this past fall semester, sponsoring a fundraising walk for Crohn's and Colitis on Oct. 2; an event on Nov. 21 to raise awareness about obesity; and a trip to New York City on Dec. 3.
