Due to excessive snow accumulation on its roof, the ’s gymnasium is closed until further notice.
“We have some potential issues, so erring on the side of caution, I’ve instructed that nobody use the gym,” Mike Ninteau, Mansfield director of building and housing inspection, said.
School officials have been notified and have alerted parents and students that the gym is not to be used until further evaluations can be made.
“We are in the process of contracting with a structural engineer to take a look,” Ninteau said. “At this point, I don’t think it’s in any danger of collapsing.”
Meanwhile, the school will operate on its normal schedule.
