Southeast Elementary Community, PTO to Meet Tonight

Southeast Elementary School will host a Parent's Hour at 6 p.m. Monday. A PTO meeting will follow at 7 p.m.

Southeast Elementary School parents and teachers will meet Monday at 6 p.m. for a Parent's Hour at the school.

The discussion will touch on the school building project.

Silvia Dorado, one of the organizers of Parents' Hour, said the time will be used to focus on parents' questions, as the meeting will not have a set agenda.

"We have some questions and concerns [about the project] and we'll see what comes out of it tonight," Dorado said.

Members of the Mansfield Town Council and Mansfield Board of Education are expected to attend.

Those who are unable to make the event, but have questions they'd like asked on their behalf, may contact Dorado at sdorado@mail.uri.edu.

"We want to be sure everybody has a voice," Dorado said.

A Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) meeting will follow at 7 p.m.

The agenda includes Southeast's Gardening Program, upcoming events and fundraisers, and an update from Principal Norma Fisher-Doiron on school activities and happenings.

Parents will be directed to the meeting room upon arrival.
