Students Showcase Their Inventions at UConn

Elementary and middle school students from across Connecticut exhibited their inventions at Gampel Pavilion.

On Saturday, the at the hosted the 28th annual Connecticut Invention Convention, which showcased hundreds of elementary and middle school students from across the state.

The students developed inventions that pertained to everyday obstacles they experienced on a daily basis and presented their innovations in to the public. From a portable shower structure to a “brother-proof” toilet seat, the students explained the technological aspect of their designs, the reasons behind their creations and the applicability of their inventions in the modern world to judges who circled around the displays rating each students design.

Winners of the convention were awarded a savings bond.
