UConn Provost Released From Hospital After Wednesday Car Crash

The accident happened late Wednesday night, The Hartford Courant reports.

University of Connecticut provost was released from Hartford Hospital Saturday morning following a two-car crash in Tolland late Wednesday night, according to The Hartford Courant.

The accident happened shortly after 10 p.m. when a at the intersection of Pine Hill Road and New Road in Tolland.

Nicholls suffered a broken sternum, and his wife Trudy, was treated and released Wednesday, The Courant reports.

The driver of the truck, Richard Gloth, 48, of 20 Blueberry Hill Rd., Tolland, was uninjured, and .

He was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of drugs or alcohol, operating an uninsured and unregistered vehicle and improper turn, The Courant reports.
