Mansfield Activates Cooling Centers During Extreme Heat

Due to forecasts of high heat and humidity, the Town of Mansfield has opened three cooling centers in town.

The Town of Mansfield has opened three cooling centers in air-conditioned public facilities for those experiencing physical discomfort in the . 

Residents seeking relief from the heat may stop by the following facilities over the next several days:

  • : Monday-Friday: 5:30 a.m.-10 p.m.; Saturday: 5:30 a.m.-8 p.m.; Sunday: 8 a.m.-8 p.m.
  • : Mondays and Wednesdays: 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; Tuesdays and Thursdays: 10 a.m.-8 p.m.; Fridays and Saturdays: 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
  • : Monday-Friday: 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Dangerously hot temperatures are expected for the remainder of the week, with readings in the lower 90s or higher, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
