Experience Springtime on the Farm with The Farmer's Cow

Spring is the busiest season on dairy farms in Connecticut. The list of daily chores blossoms like buds on trees with seasonal activities including testing soils, spreading manure and planting field crops that will grow local grasses, corn and grains.  The families of The Farmer’s Cow invite the public to experience Springtime on the Farm with a tour at Graywall Farms in Lebanon this Saturday, April 20th, from 1-3pm.

Enjoy a wagon ride to see our farmers at work preparing to plant crops that will feed our cows. Visitors can also tour the barns to see the cows that make the milk and learn about agriculture in Connecticut from The Farmer’s Cow farmers. After the tour, visitors can sample a variety of The Farmer’s Cow fresh local products including milk, ice cream, coffee and Summer Beverages.

The Farmer’s Cow hosts farm tours throughout the year. All of these events are free of charge and fun for the entire family.  Each of the six family farms is unique and offers a chance to learn and experience something new.

The Farmer’s Cow is known for its fresh, local milk, half & half, heavy cream and ice cream as well as Connecticut‐sourced, all‐natural eggs, apple cider, seasonal beverages and coffee. The company is managed by the same farm families of the original six Connecticut farms who started the business back in 2005.  These farms include Graywall Farms in Lebanon, Fairvue Farms in Woodstock, Hytone Farm in Coventry, Mapleleaf Farm in Hebron, Fort Hill Farms in Thompson and Cushman Farms in Franklin.
