The Farmers Cow Annual Ice Cream, Blueberry and Bluegrass Bash at Fort Hill Farms

Come to The Farmer's Cow farm tour at Fort Hill Farm in Thompson for foot-stomping good time with live Bluegrass music and ice cream!

Celebrate National Ice Cream Day with The Farmer’s Cow with a farm tour at historic Fort Hill Farms in Thompson, CT.

The Orr family will host the annual “Blueberry, Ice Cream & Bluegrass Bash” and invites the public to this family fun, free event. It is a toe-tapping, foot-stomping party to celebrate the blueberry harvest and National Ice Cream Day. Visitors will enjoy complimentary sundaes featuring The Farmer’s Cow fresh Connecticut ice cream topped with fresh blueberries from Fort Hill Farm and The Farmer’s Cow fresh whipped cream.

Blackstone Valley Bluegrass will perform live music with powerful three and four part harmonies. Visitors are also invited to tour the award-winning Quintessential Gardens, enjoy a wagon ride around the fields and meet the calves that will grow up to join the herd as the next generation of The Farmer’s Cow milking cows.

In April, Fort Hill Farms celebrated the 70th year of the family shipping milk from this historic farm.the public to visit it’s six family-owned farms in all seasons – winter, spring, summer and fall harvest. All walking tours are free and fun for the entire family.
