All residents are encouraged to share their vision for the future of Mansfield at http://ideas.mansfieldtomorrow.com/; those that submit visions in the next week will be entered into a drawing for a free 3-month membership to the Community Center.

• Storrs Center Construction Update -
o Geno's Grille is now open at 9 Dog Lane in Storrs Center. Geno's is the newest restaurant to be operated by Geno Auriemma and his partners, who also own and operate Geno's Fast Break in four locations at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, Connecticut. Geno's Grille seats more than 100 people and offers both indoor and outdoor seating. Plans for Geno's are to provide a relaxed, yet fun, dining experience. The varied menu is comprised of dining selections that will appeal to a broad spectrum of patrons. Geno's joins sixteen other restaurants, service establishments, and commercial tenants that have opened in Storrs Center over the last several months. For more information about Storrs Center, visit www.storrscenter.com.
o Construction of Wilbur Cross Way, One Royce Circle, and the leasing of the apartments, part of The Oaks on the Square, continues. Paving and landscaping has resumed on Storrs Road. Questions may be directed to the Mansfield Downtown Partnership (storrscenterinfo@mansfieldct.org or 860.429.2740). The Partnership continues to maintain a construction website for updates at http://storrscenterconstruction.blogspot.com.

• UConn Main Accumulation Area Relocation – UConn’s Main Accumulation Area Advisory Committee completed its work last month with regard to evaluating potential sites for the relocation of the hazardous waste storage facility, also known as the Main Accumulation Area (MAA). Based on rankings completed by each member of the committee, a site at the new Technology Park (Parcel G) was identified as the preferred site for the facility. UConn will be holding a scoping meeting for the Main Accumulation Area Environmental Impact Evaluation (EIE) on May 1, 2013 at the Bishop Center, Room 146 at 7:00 pm. The official scoping meeting will be preceded by an informal information session from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Written comments on the proposed EIE scope will be accepted by UConn until May 16, 2013.
