Willimantic Town Pride Day / Eastern Students April 27

Brightly clad young people patrolling the streets of Willimantic, sporting work gloves, garbage bags, and garden tools: April 27 is Eastern Connecticut State University's annual Town Pride Day. As they work, be sure and commend them for their positive contribution to their adopted town. Eastern students are required to perform hours of community service as part of their educational process, but the alacrity and enthusiasm they show is not required -- they just do it. This blog is posted by Peter Leeds, a cheerleader for the city of Willimantic and the town of Windham. Peter is a local referee, referee assignor, coach, and athletic director and can be found on Facebook at Peter Leeds Not Just The Sports Guy. He is also a real estate agent with CG Real Estate of North Windham and can be reached at 860-377-4433 or peter@cgrealestate.net.
