Rep. Haddad to Recognize Student Essay Contest Winners
State Representative Gregory Haddad will visit the Mansfield Middle School Friday.
Mansfield Middle School students will be recognized Friday by State Representative Gregory Haddad (D-Mansfield, Chaplin) for their participation in a local essay contest.
In early January, Haddad invited eighth-grade students in the 54th District to write essays describing their proposal for a new law or changes to a current law.
Friday morning, he will acknowledge all participants, and present writers of the top entries with official citations from the General Assembly.
Haddad announced Thursday that he will sponsor a bill to increase the minimum wage, a topic he said three students touched upon.

The assembly will be held at 8:20 a.m. in the middle school cafeteria.
